Single pixel wide gamut dynamic color modulation based on a graphene micromechanical system

Dynamic color modulation in the composite structure of graphene microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)- photonic crystal microcavity is investigated this work. The designed has three resonant standing wave modes corresponding to primary colors red (R), green (G) and blue (B), forming strong localization light at different positions microcavity. Once added, it can govern transmittance modes. When located abdomen wave, which absorption therefore structure's lower, or when node weak higher. Therefore, be regulated dynamically by applying voltages tune equilibrium position MEMS microcavity, consequently realizing output vivid monochromatic multiple mixed within a single pixel, thus greatly improving resolution. Our work provides route dynamic with guidance for design manufacture ultrahigh resolution, ultrafast wide gamut interferometric modulator displays.
